Huge thanks to Arousiak for the most incredible day! She took us to some breathtaking spots on the southern island that felt like they were straight out of a movie. Arousiak really made our day in the south. What really touched us was when my shoes broke during the hike—she didn’t hesitate for a second and took us back to her father-in-law’s house just to help me fix them. It was such a kind, selfless gesture that completely saved my trip. On top of that, her homemade salmon sandwich was very yummy. If you want a local experience that feels real and warm, you have to find her!

Arousiak's knowledge and love of nature made her the perfect guide to experience the stunning beauty of Suduroy island. The private guide option to hiking the island she offers really elevated the experience. I would strongly recommend at least a two-day stay to more fully experience the spectacular wonder of Suduroy.

I did the Ásmundarstakkur hike on NYE instead of Hvannhagi due to the weather conditions for the past few days. Arousiak made the right call as I probably wouldn't be able to complete if proceed with Hvannhagi hike. The Ásmundarstakkur hike required a good fitness level so be prepared. I am fortunate to have Arousiak as my hiking guide who is highly knowledgeable about Suduroy. She is highly familiar with the hiking spots since it is her training ground, you are definitely in good hands. Her hubby joined us in the hike who shared the information of Faroe Island and his travel experience with me. I will suggest to do a 2 days visit to Suduroy instead of a day trip like what I did as it allows you to visit more scenic spots and to hike too! I will come back to Suduroy again to engage your hiking service Arousiak. Thank you for making my Faroe island trip memorable and the pretty photos you took for me!

5 stars (or even more) for this fantastic tour 🙂 This was by far one of the best tours I did in Faroes Islands till so far. Excellent guide Arousiak, she have a lot of knowledge of the country and ofcourse the region. One beautiful hike which is in the tour mentioned but because we have time left a bonus excellent hike to a hidden gem where not much tourists go. Also lots photo stops to take beautiful pictures of sightseeings, beautiful Faroese landscape and nature surroundings with no rush. You have to take the boat earlier in the morning to Suðuroy Island at the harbor of Tórshavn, takes 2 hours (also back) and when arriving the tourguide picks you up and when leaving she drops you off the harbor. I recommend a accommodation close to the harbor of Tórshavn in case you get up late and have to hurry, otherwise when missing it’s impossible to do the tour as only couple of times a day the boat goes to the region and back. 5 stars or even more for this tour, guide and her company. I picked a direction and boated there, ended up here, the people here are very nice and I have been having fun, I will never be going back home. 👋
